Site Options:

Tel Shilo - Ancient Shilo

The Tabernacle that had been with the Jews in the desert eventually found it's home in Shilo over 3,400 years ago, and there are still remnants there today! Over the years, Shilo became known as the place that Hannah modeled Jewish prayer and, until today, the Jewish festival of love, Tu B'Av. In order to enjoy all of the archaeology as well as high tech presentations, you will want to spend at least 2 1/2 hours at this site. 31 shekels per adult/28 per child.

Beit Knesset Mishkan Shilo

Visit this remarkable synagogue or perhaps schedule your tour in order to daven Mincha (the afternoon prayer service) here. The Synagogue looks like the Tabernacle, and has some of the vessels modeled inside.

Beit El Lookout

From this location, you can literally see amazing views in all 4 directions, as well as the place that some archaeologists identify as the location of Jacob's dream.

Ephraim's Petting Zoo

Visitors of all ages will enjoy this beautiful and relaxing petting zoo in Beit El, established in memory of Ephraim Tzur HY"D, who was killed in a terror attack in 1996. Ephraim was a child from Beit El who used to spend his free time tending animals. Tuvia Victor - who was a volunteer medic called to the scene of the terror attack and an accountant by profession - decided to develop the petting zoo that Ephraim had started, and is happy to share the wonderful information he has learned about animals over the years with visitors. The farm employs people who are in transition between jobs, and is a true place of kindness to the workers, visitors and animals. Entrance fee is 5 shekels pp. For a guided tour including pita baking and feeding the animals a 300 shekels donation is requested.

Wine Tasting

This region is wine country since the ancient times! There are several local wineries, each one has it's own fascinating story and excellent wines. Ask about prices and options.

Tefillin Beit El

See how tefillin are made. A perfect visit for a bar mitzvah tour! Tour is free when buying tefillin. 100 shekels pp if not purchasing tefillin.

Every tour day, you'll want to be ready to go with the following:

comfortable walking shoes with good treads, a backpack, water, snacks just-in-case, sunhat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Tissues and hand sanitizer can always be useful for under-stocked bathrooms. There's so much to learn in Israel! Some like to carry a journal or notepad. You'll want to make sure your phone is fully charged to take pictures of all the amazing sites. An extra battery pack to charge devices can help ensure you won't miss out on any moments you would like to capture. If you will be visiting holy sites, you will want modest clothes that cover shoulders and knees or a scarf put on over whatever you are wearing.
